Aquamist Water Injection

Well, I installed the system today. It's not finished, but it is operational. I decided the best place to inject the water was in the intake tube closest to the supercharger. And since the factory intake was made out of rubber, I decided to build a new one. I bought an 94-97 Accord intake off of ebay for $25. The pipe is 3" in diameter and made from polished aluminum. I also need fittings for the crankcase vent tubing which I found at True Value hardware. I cut the tube to match the original piece and drilled holes for the vent fittings. For the jet Aquamist recommends drilling a 7mm hole and using the supplied tap. I used the .5mm jet to start. I found a place to mount the relay, pump and pressure switch on the right side of the engine bay. I measured the windshield wiper fluid container at 3.25 liters. So if the jet flows at 180ml per minute, it should last for 18 minutes. For now I cut the wiper hose near the pump and plugged it in to it. I'll later get a tee so the wiper fluid still sprays. I hooked up the red and ground wire. And I plugged the purple "positive switch" wire into the red/white wire in the cargo lamp switch. The pressure switch just runs off the vacuum tube which runs to my boost gauge, so I used a tee for that.
Once the system was installed I turned the car on and revved up the engine with the spray tube disconnected from the water jet. I could see it was spraying water every time I get to 10 psi. I then turned the pressure switch down a little to 8psi and plugged it into the jet.
Things to watch out for:
There is a rubber protector for the back of the pressure switch. Feed the gray and black wire through it, then crimp on the connectors. Then the rubber boot slides on the switch to protect it from water and debris.
Try to mount the pump lower than the highest level of the water.
Mount the water filter under the water tank otherwise air bubbles may be trapped in it. Under full acceleration I can feel the power going up and down. I think this is because air is being squirted instead of water sometimes.
Make sure there is water running up the tube to the pump before you activate it. I changed out a jet and forgot to siphon water into the pump and when it kicked on my floorboard vibrated like you wouldn't believe. The pump is supposed to be able to run dry for a solid minute, but if it runs dry you'll probably know right away if it is located close to your seat.
When you push the small tube into the pump (the one that goes to the jet), it will not pull out. It has some sort of lock. I have no idea if it will pull out.
The jets unscrew apart so you can clean the inside of them. Make sure they are screwed together tight. Water will leak from them if they are not.
The purple wire needs to be connected to the positive ignition switch so the system knows the car is running. I ran it to the red/white wire on the back of the cargo light switch. Pop the switch off and tap into it.
Always test what pressure the pump comes on after an adjustment. I lowered mine 2 full turns and it seemed to come on at -5psi which made the engine make a grinding sound. The pump puts out so much water that you need high airflow and positive pressure or the engine will drown in water.
